Union Grove has a downtown business district on Highway 45 and another business community on Highway 11. The larger anchor stores are Piggly Wiggly grocery store, a Value Rite pharmacy, True Value Hardware, Ace hardware and a Ben Franklin variety store. Many of the residents' needs are met locally with three banks, three car dealerships, service shops, family style restaurants, fast food restaurants, plus professional accountants, financial advisors, insurance agents, appraisers, lawyers, realtors and a renovated funeral home.

The largest private employer in the area is American Roller Company, which manufactures rollers covered with rubber and other materials. Sites include Wisconsin Roller Plant, Acron Division, and Research & Development in Union Grove, and Arotech Division at Kansasville. Other large manufactures include Grove Gear, division of Regal-Beloit Corporation, which makes gear motors and speed reducers; and Plastics Parts, Inc.

A modern Industrial Park is almost filled, with two parcels remaining. Another Park, a Tax Incremental Finance (TIF) District, is being developed.

The Town of Dover is developing its first industrial park with three new constructions on Haag Drive, just west of Union Grove.
