Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber of Commerce expanded to include the greater Union Grove area in 1986. The Chamber area encompasses the townships of Yorkville and Dover, most of Raymond and Norway, and the Village of Union Grove in Racine County; plus the townships of Brighton and Paris in Kenosha County.

The Chamber of Commerce welcomes new businesses and sponsors candidate forums, legislative updates, CPR classes, and a college scholarship. The Chamber organizes the annual 4th of July Parade and members give 2,000 free flags to children along the parade route. Through an arrangement with the greenhouse at Shepherds Ministries, our business areas are beautifully decorated with identical terra cotta planters with bright geraniums and green plants.

With the cooperation of the Village of Union Grove, our downtown is transformed into a wonderland of white lights every Christmas season. The Chamber sponsors a community tree lighting ceremony with music and refreshments and Santa Claus arriving on a fire engine. Breakfast with Santa & the Elves is family tradition for children, parents, and grandparents.

The third Saturday in August is designated as "Super Saturday" in Union Grove, an event sponsored by organizations, agencies, businesses, local government and schools with a focus on kids and safety. There are free health screenings, fire and police demonstrations, sidewalk sales, sidewalk cafes, live bands in two locations, farmer's market and arts & crafts. The downtown area is filled with people enjoying their community and visiting with their neighbors.
