The area has an excellent K-12 public school system. Union Grove, Kansasville, Yorkville, and Raymond Schools each have their own local School Boards. Graduates from all four schools move on to Union Grove Union High School, which completed an extensive building project in 1999. The oldest portion of the school was removed and replaced with new library, computer center, classrooms, cafeteria, and kitchen. A new gymnasium and weight room were added. The smaller gym was converted to a 440-seat Performance Center. Students were involved in choosing colors and it was their idea to give the hallways names, such as Bronco Boulevard and Career Parkway.

Union High School has a very active Bronco Boosters club, which sponsors fund-raisers, promotes attendance at sporting events, and organizes the Homecoming Parade. The Union Grove Area Fine Arts Foundation sponsors public performances such as the U.S. Air Force Band "Shades of Blue" jazz ensemble, the U.S. Navy Band "Country Current" group and "An Evening with Mark Twain". The Foundation provides student scholarships to fine arts summer camps.

Union Grove's Joint School District has replaced the grade school with a new school adjacent to the middle school, known as the Union Grove Elementary School.

Union Grove is also home to Union Grove Christian School, a K-12 facility, adjacent to the Union Grove Baptist Church. Nearby in Kenosha County are Providence Catholic Schools. Grades K-5 are in the East campus in Paris and grades 6-8 are on the West campus in Brighton.

Gateway Technical College serves the tri-county area of Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties. The University of Wisconsin - Parkside is located on a scenic 700-acre campus between Racine and Kenosha. Carthage College is a private institution located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Kenosha.
