A revised concept plan for the proposed Canopy Hill development will be presented at a joint meeting of the Village Board, Plan Commission and Community Development Authority on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Union Grove Municipal Center first floor Community Room, and a public call-in option will be available by calling (414) 323-1463 and entering the conference ID of 856-026-399#.

The revised concept plan incorporates feedback from presentations that took place in 2019. Village representatives and community members requested a reduction in multi-family units, along with an increase in housing diversity, increase in owner-occupied housing and additional public land/park-land.

The revised plan consists of 183 single-family lots, 60 duplex two-story townhome units, 8 duplex ranch style townhome units and 60 multi-family rental units (an 83% decrease from 360 multifamily rental units in the 2019 plans). The plan includes 5.36 acres of land to be allocated for future public service operations, such as a fire station.

More information is available from the meeting materials below:

Canopy Hill is a 160-acre property located on S. Colony Ave. (Hwy. 45) across from Union Grove High School behind St. Robert’s Church. The subdivision was originally proposed in 2007 but was delayed due to the Great Recession.
