The Village of Union Grove is seeking applicants for Village Clerk.

The Position
The Village Clerk performs a variety of administrative municipal functions and shall have the powers and duties provided by Wisconsin Statues 61.25 and such duties as may be assigned by the Village Board and/or the Village Administrator.

Responsible for the custody and maintenance of all official papers and records of the Village as required by State Statues, the administration of all elections held in the municipality, the administration of the various licenses issued by the Village, and assistance with carrying out the customer service functions of the Village.  Work is performed under the general guidance and direction of the Village Administrator, while exercising considerable judgment in performing said duties.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, public administration or related field preferred.
  • At least two years experience as a municipal clerk, deputy clerk or other comparable position in the governmental sector
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Certified Municipal Clerk certification, or ability to obtain within five years
  • Must be bondable
  • Must have valid driver’s license

Compensation: This position is posted with a starting salary range of $50,000-$62,000 with a full benefits package.

Seasonal Laborer - Posted April 15, 2022

Department of Public Works: Streets

The Village of Union Grove, Wisconsin (pop. 5,000) is seeking applicants for its Seasonal Laborer positions.  The primary focus of the position will be lawn care, park maintenance, brush pickup, cleaning of equipment, painting or other work with the streets department, wastewater utility or water utility as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum 16 years old.

Candidate shall possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License to drive utility van, pickup trucks or a single axle 1-ton truck.  Candidates will need to be able to work with various pieces of Village equipment such as a garden tractor, zero turn riding lawn mower, weed wackers, brush chipper and other pieces of equipment as assigned.

Work Hours: Regular hours are 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with a lunch break from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.  However start and finish time may vary depending on weather conditions.

Compensation: Hourly 32-40 hours per week $15.00/hr.

Crossing Guard

Do you have some time to spare on school mornings and/or afternoons? Are you good with children? If so, please consider applying to be a crossing guard, or substitute crossing guard, for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year and help provide an important service to the community! Candidates must be able to pass a background check, and dependability is a must. Hours are from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. There may be occasional early release changing the hours to 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on those days. Crossing guards are paid $10.40 per hour.
